Mike Anderson Productions was founded on a simple belief: great music changes lives. Over a decade later, that belief drives everything we do.
The Beginning
Mike Anderson is a veteran singer, songwriter, and producer whose musical journey spans a lifetime of creativity and grit. He stepped onto the stage early — first as a 9-year-old drummer with The Spyders, then as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for The Surfers by age 12. By 16, he was fronting Notchy Creek as lead vocalist, guitarist, and pedal-steel player.
Mike's lifelong creative partnership with fellow songwriter John Byrum began when the two picked up guitars together at age 12 to form The Surfers. They've been writing, performing, and producing music side-by-side ever since — crafting original songs, producing music videos, and creating work for other artists along the way.

A New Chapter
A few years ago, Mike suffered a stroke during what was supposed to be a routine heart catheterization — a moment that threatened to end everything he'd built. A lifetime of musicianship suddenly felt out of reach. His left hand remembered the guitar instantly, but his right hand didn't respond. For a while, it seemed like music might be over.
But the story didn't end there.
In 2025, Mike discovered Suno AI, and it opened a new door he never expected. It gave him a way to create again — differently, but powerfully. It reignited his passion, rebuilt his confidence, and sparked a creative rebirth. Today, alongside John Byrum, he's exploring sounds they never could have made before, learning new techniques every day, and having more fun making music than ever. Mike's right hand gets stronger every day, and the guitar playing is coming back!
